Ele vermin farm
Hey, this is my 4th post, please don't scream at me if this already has a thread . This is my build for vermin farm (duh?)
Attributes: 16 earth : enough storage to have 70ish energy : rest in heal :
Skills: Earth Attunement : Elemental Attunement {elite} : Aura of Restoration : Armor of Earth : Sliver Armor/Tienei's Crystals : Ward of Stability : Healing Breeze : Mending :
OK, now for the equipment.
You'll need a staff with 56-60 hp bonus, and 20/20 earth is preferable but not needed (I don't think). Archmage chest, gloves, legs, boots, and earth headset. You will also need a sup earth magic rune and major-sup energy storage depending on how much health you're comfortable with.
Now for the run.
-Leave Senji's Corner via the north exit. Once outside, start by casting mending on yourself. And heading North West. You will see the Junior Minister, then if you keep going, you'll come to a flight of steps.
-Run up and you should see 2-3 groups of vermin on the minimap. Aggro the one on your right, and then head towards the second group. They will run up the right side of the steps, so run down the left side and keep running. You may/may not make it to the 3rd group, if not it doesn't matter.
-Ok, once you have aggroed 1-2 groups, stop and let them circle you, before this you MUST cast ward of stability and keep it up as much as possible, if not, you will be interupted, not good. Keep up the Attunements, Restoration, and armor of earth, and use healing breeze whenever needed. And spam crystals/sliver armor as soon as it pops up and you are under the effects of Ward of Stability.
-Once you finish off the first 4 groups, go across the bridge to the West. You will see LOTS of vermin and the boss shreader sharptongue (Shreader drops the green daggers Shreader's Talons). Aggro them the same way you did with the first groups, meanwhile attacking shreader sharptounge with your staff. If you havn't killed shreader by the time all the other vermin are gone, your only hope to kill him, is drag him to the north, through 3 final groups of vermin. Once cleared of all vermin (and boss) enter the zone. And retrace your steps back to Senji's Corner.
Thats my build, please leave comments on how it can/should be changed.

Nice, I could do that with my ele, only problem is, I find Vermin farming pretty useless, I to farm UW with my necro (Troll farming is better than vermin farming). I did this once with my warrior, it was very slow. BUT I will try this build (Cuz I only need to buy 2 skills) and let you know how its does.

Trolls better?
Is this a joke or a completely uneducated opinion..
Why do you think trolls are better? For wood? For Parchment? Just so ya know steel comes from most of the vermin stuff except scales which come from the hides.
Hides give 4-5 scales also soooo last i saw scales were going for at least 100 for 10 of them that means 40-50 from each hide if you salvage...troll tusks give you 25 only after you have gone to the collector for them.

You have 9 skills, the skills you list in the start and then in the how to you mention keeping ward of stability up. This is impossible since with the skill lineup there is no place for ward of stability?

I tested this build out for a while today..trying a couple different things....
At first I had thought Aura of Restoration or Healing Breeze was to much and in the end it is a lot easier with them both.
My only change that I made and worked for me is, I dropped Earth Attunement (because I didn't have any Energy problems at all and there was not a lot of casting except when spells ran out, and Elemental Attunement serves that purpose very well) I used both Sliver Armour and Tenea's Crystals.
I just wanted something to do a bit of damage in case I needed it and 106 AOE was nice having along with the damage that Sliver Armour does. I loved Sliver Armour and most of the time that was all that was needed but to speed up things it was nice to have both.
Edit:
I have been playing around with this build a lil more....it is kinda nice to have a different farming location when I get tired of trolls and other places....
I have dropped Elemental Attunment and added Essence Bond Instead so my skill line up looks like
Aura of Restoration
Ward of Stability
Armour of Earth
Sliver Armour
Tenei's Crystals
Healing Breeze
Mending
Essence Bond
Casting Healing Breeze right after Ward of Stability after aggro helps a lot then Tenei's Crystals and Sliver Armour. Then just cast Ward of Stability and Sliver Armour whenever Available. Making sure to hit with Staff as well for extra damage. There is a brief time that sliver armour is not in effect but by that time should be max 1 vermin hitting.
I changed to Essence Bond because I was just not happy with the lack of energy management when I had to cast healing breeze. I was getting hit enough that I thought about Essence Bond....the -2 energy regen from it and Mending I thought would be a problem but in the end it wasn't. As long as I am getting hit ...I have enough energy to last through all the fights I have faced so far.
This is a nice change from the regular farming spots. Death can happen if not watching spells but even with a death penalty they are easily conquered.
Thanks again for the build. I have had fun playing with it!

Hey guys I just found this thread via the newer Vermin farming thread; would like to thank you guys for the builds you put up. I essentially went with Intent's skill layout just because his required no Elite skills and thus purchasing was no problem
I also used Doom's advice on the equipment; I don't have EXACTLY what he mentioned (the staff with the uber +health) but I did get some superior runes for the Archmage armor plus I bought an Arbor's Earth Staff for the build
Works like a dream; it's taken a few runs to get the patterns down and figure out the timing of the skills, but it's been worth it.
The only note I'd toss in is sometimes after clearing an area I'll actually drop Mending/Essence Bond just so my energy can regen quicker; then recast and go.
